¿Cómo puedo proteger mi patrimonio de los huracanes?

La temporada de huracanes es entre el junio y noviembre, los ciclones se forman en el Océano Atlántico, y se dirigen al Caribe y Latinoamérica, lo cual hace estas regiones las más propensas a estos desastres naturales.

Los cambios climáticos han ocasionado que los desastres naturales sean con mayor frecuencia e intensidad. Es impredecible saber cuando llegará un huracán, su intensidad y los daños que podría ocasionar. Es importante que prevengas estas situaciones con tiempo.

Existen diferentes productos que puedes adquirir para protegerte como las mallas antihuracán y las persianas anticiclónicas. Primero deberás hacerte algunas preguntas…

¿Cuál es la ideal para mi?

Para tomar la decisión deberás tener en cuenta varios factores como funcionalidad de la ventana, ubicación del inmueble, medidas de la ventana, recomendaciones del proveedor y presupuesto, es MUY IMPORTANTE, que la zona en la que se llevará a cabo la instalación, sea una zona rígida, cómo por ejemplo en concreto o en una viga de acero

  • Funcionalidad: ¿Es un balcón o fachada? ¿La quieres para protección del calor y sonidos?
  • Ubicación del inmueble: ¿Se encuentra en zona costera? Si es en una ciudad, ¿a cuántos kilómetros de la costa?
  • Medidas de la ventana: ¿Es un ventanal, balcón o una ventana pequeña?
  • Presupuesto: Correspondiente al valor que tienes en el interior del inmueble o lo que piensas invertir. ¿Valdría la pena invertir en estos productos? ¿Cuál sería mi retorno de inversión?

Malla antihuracán

Las mallas antihuracán son una opción innovadora y vanguardista. 

La composición de estas mallas es de polipropileno geo sintético de alta tecnología y resiste vientos de huracanes categoría 5, alrededor de 380 km/h. Son mallas especializadas para protección contra impactos. 

La principal ventaja es que una vez que está instalada, se puede colgar sólo cuando venga el huracán y después se descuelga sin complicación, es decir que la fachada de los edificios no se ve afectada por esta protección. Para colgar y descolgar deberás tensar con las cintas en los extremos, y podrás hacerlo hasta el último momento en que se requiera, evitando tapar entradas de la casa.

El precio del m² está entre $1,800 y $2.000 pesos, dependiendo de las medidas y desperdicio del textil.

Persianas europeas o anticiclónicas

Las anticiclónicas verticales son muy sencillas de usar, están diseñadas para resistir vientos de hasta 360 km/h. Son de aluminio extruido y se deslizan en riel superior e inferior y se pliegan como acordeón en el fijo de la ventana. Se operan manualmente, no hay opción motorizada.

Las anticiclónicas horizontales, también conocidas como persianas europeas, son lamas de aluminio que se unen  son muy estéticas, se enrollan en un cajón en la parte superior. Una de sus características es que queda casi oscura la habitación.

Existen 2 modelos entre los que puedes elegir según tus necesidades

Aluminio Perfilado

Aluminio perfilado, es una placa de aluminio que se dobla para darle la forma y en el interior se rellena con poliuretano

Además de que oscurece la habitación, el relleno de poliuretano funciona como aislante térmico y de sonidos, y lo hemos recomendado en casos de migraña o con el gusto de dormir hasta tarde los domingos.

El material es ligero y no es necesario motorizarla. Su resistencia contra huracanes con vientos  de hasta 250 km/h siguiendo las indicaciones de medidas recomendadas por el proveedor. Es la versión económica de las persianas europeas.

Existe el modelo de 45mm y 55 mm, y los precios por m² están en $6,000 pesos aproximadamente.

Aluminio Extruido

Aluminio extruído, se refiere al proceso de fabricación en que el aluminio se calienta a 500ºC y pasa por una prensa que le da la forma.

Estas persianas europeas resisten a huracanes con vientos de hasta 400 km/h. Al ser de aluminio extruido los anchos máximos pueden ser de hasta 7 mts, por lo que para ventanales amplios es la mejor opción.

En esta opción es indispensable que sea motorizado ya que el peso está alrededor de 9 kg/m² y el esfuerzo para levantarlo es muy grande. Dependiendo de las medidas, el precio del m² está alrededor de $10,000 y $12,000 pesos
